‘Confused, scared, hopeless, unsure.’ Teens looking for information about COVID-19

Presents findings from an online questionnaire investigating teens’ information-seeking about COVID-19.Methods. Online completed by 26 teens, ages 15 to 19 years, living in Brooklyn, New York, June 2020. Responses include quantitative data (ranking and checklists) qualitative (free writing). The explored information themes relation COVID-19, such as sources platforms, credibility disinformation, roles intermediation, affective aspects of their behaviour, well what would have helped teens find COVID-19 information. Teens experienced anxiety they looked for reliable COVID-19. They served family’s language brokers technology experts, taking on the responsibilities intermediator. used social media platforms legacy sources.
